A Tent in the Woods is soft and cozy. Although brioche-like, it is knitted in an easier modified half fisherman’s rib.
It includes a straight-line ‘fern’ cable panel in the centre to compliment the straight lines of the half-fisherman’s rib. For those that want a simpler and faster knit, this cable panel can be omitted, as the ridges of the rib themselves provide an interesting form as they decrease into the crown.
The pattern is written in one size ‘S/M to M/L’ as the stretchiness of the stich rib will accommodate a range of adult head sizes.
It is named after the shelter ‘tent’ in the forest near my house, where I spend time avoiding the rain while playing badmington with the kids and sometimes even knitting.
